ASSOCIATION FOR CARE AND DEVELOPMENT
CANU Association Cameroon started in 2008 in Bafut North West Region Cameroon, as an assistance group to people in need. As our work went on, we discovered there were many children (who were either orphans or vulnerable) and these lived with aged people. The two sets of people have been completely abandoned to themselves. Since then, the group has been working with more 60 aged people (made up of mostly widows) and 300 children including those that have physical disabilities. In the light of its activities, this group of benevolent young men and women attracted the attention of others who shared the goals and mission of the group. It was at this juncture that it was decided that an association be created to take “care of the aging, needy and the underprivileged” persons throughout the national territory. CANU was then created on the 27th April 2013 and it operates with Authorization No:1220/2013/RDA/C19/SAAJPof17th December 2013
